Christian Siriano: “GaGa’s Fabulous”

Lady GaGa is the other notable person who earned praise from Christian. “Just panties and a blouse. That’s all you need. I don’t think a day-to-day woman could pull it off, but GaGa’s fabulous,” he explained.

Lady GaGa Live In LA

Pop ate the Wiltern in Los Angeles Friday night, thanks to the post-post-post-modernist stylings of dance sensation Lady GaGa, her backpack-wearing backup dancers, and an audience so prepared to match their hostess in sartorial experimentation that it made Rocky Horror look like cotillion. One presumed the Lady approved — and somewhere, to be sure, Andy Warhol stirred in his grave.

Glowsticks came courtesy of The White Tie Affair, a bouncy nu-punk band that dared to throw an acoustic guitar into the proceedings while battling through a tough opening spot. They sweated it out under the blacklights as best they could, but all those girls in the exotic tights and hair bows (and the club boys who accompanied them) were there for one thing only: the 22 year old self-proclaimed artist whose superhero visage soon splashed huge on a kabuki curtain in front of the stage. A short film played, a voice purred, “My name is Lady GaGa, and this is my house,” and in a blaze of video flame, she appeared.

Her wig is now an austere blonde bob, and her stage show just as carefully crafted. DJ Space Cowboy spins from a distant back corner; set/costume pieces are angular and clean. Her onstage banter was at times a bit silly (“I travel the whole world, and when I come home, I can still smell the stench of greed”) and the visuals occasionally lacking in coherent theme, but her voice was strong and refreshingly free of overbearing tracking vocals. For all her cocky bluster, perhaps the most undeniable aspect of GaGa’s talent is this: The girl can, and does, sing. From the back of a packed house, it was mostly impossible to see the teensy tyro — interested parties will likely be able to catch the whole thing on YouTube tomorrow, based on the number of view-blocking cameras in the air — but when you wanna just dance, all you need is the music, anyway. GaGa devotees, prepare to be delighted when her disco stick lights up your town.

Gary Go Falls For Naked Charms Of Lady GaGa

MAN of the moment Gary Go has fallen under the spell of Lady GaGa after she greeted him with no clothes on.

The singer, who has been picked to support Take That on their UK tour this year, was introduced to GaGa when they performed together in London.

And the Wonderful hit-maker admitted the US Lady has been on his mind after the unusual meeting.

He said: “I did a cover of Lady GaGa’s track Just Dance recently.

”I chose it because I was thinking about her quite a lot.

“We met when we both played London’s Koko venue this year.

“She was in the dressing room opposite me and someone shouted to her to come and meet Gary Go.

“She shouted back that she had no clothes on, but two seconds later she just came to the door with nothing on then quickly threw a little jacket on.

“It was quite a meeting and she is very attractive. She’s a performance artist, so I guess she doesn’t have any inhibitions, but it certainly had an effect on me.

“And, yes, I am single, and G G and Gaga, well I guess it does have a ring to it.”

Gary is due to release his debut album in May and explained that although being announced as the support for Take That has given him a huge boost, he is a very different act from the man band.

The London-based musician wrote his first song at eight and left school at 17 to work in a recording studio to learn the “music industry inside out” before setting up his own independent record label.

“It’s a huge honour to be asked to go on tour with the guys. But people keep assuming that my songs are similar to Take That’s because I’m called Gary, as is Gary Barlow, obviously. It’s just lazy, really. We are at different stages of our careers and our music is totally different,” he said.

The singer/songwriter is more nervous about releasing his selftitled debut than playing to the mammoth Take That crowds.

He said: “I’m still working on my album, it’s like an ex-girlfriend that you just can’t leave alone.

“I’m a perfectionist. All the tracks are my babies, so I just want them to be as good as they can be. But I’m excited about playing them to such a big audience.”

Gary also revealed that he has picked up some tips from Scots star Amy Macdonald.

The pair toured the UK last year and Amy taught him how to connect with his fans. He said: “Amy has been a phenomenal success. She is into technology and every time I saw her, she was on her laptop replying to her fans’ messages.

“Her dedication made me think. I’m more about getting into the studio to work on tracks, but Amy is great at keeping her fans up-to-date.”

Spencer Pratt: “GaGa Makes My Ears Bleed”

With LC out of the picture, Heidi and Spencer are waging a brand new celebrity war — on Lady GaGa.

On his way out of the Star Magazine Young Hollywood party last night, Spencer ripped on LGG’s music, claiming he had to “save my ears from Lady Gaga” — but judging by who he went home with … he’s heard worse.

The story behind the beef is this: Gaga wrote a song called “Fashion” that both she and Heidi recorded. Guess whose version people preferred…

Lady GaGa: “Mental” Over First Show

Fashion daredevil Lady Gaga has a fierce case of perfectionism as she plans her first headlining tour, and she’s making no apologies for it.

The smart sensation has been planning everything, from the props to the stage-design – so not surprisingly, she’s going a little “mental” over the whole thing.

“Every show’s gonna be an A show by the time I’m done screaming at everyone — Hang it! Hang everything! Find a place to hang it! — That’s gonna be my motto,” she says of the 23-date tour, which kicked off last night.

I’m actually applauding the diva-in-training for keeping a firm hold on her reigns – best she nip any entourage manipulation in the butt, we’ve learned – but when the stress starts to approach breakdown-territory, she might wanna take her own advice and “just dance.”
