Lady Gaga inspired Halloween costume 2008

I decided to be Lady Gaga for Halloween in 2008.
I had found her entire album (leaked) on YouTube in the summer, and had completely fallen in love with it. I bought it right when it came out in Canada (which was about 3 months before the US, which was exciting), and couldn’t wait to hear the other singles on the radio (especially "Poker Face". I listened to that song on repeat so many times. I’m surprised my ears didn’t eventually bleed lol). I fell in love with her style, and decided to not be lazy and at least put in some effort for Halloween.
I didn’t have any $ to make the costume, so I just used whatever I already had lying around the house. So yeah, it doesn’t really look like Gaga. But whatever. It’s my own take on it and I had a lot of fun putting it together.
Anyways, I thought it would be so cool, but seriously NO ONE guessed who I was. Even after telling them I was dressed as Lady Gaga, they were all like "Who’s that???" so I ended up singing a few lines of "Just Dance", hoping they would get it (cause it was being played on the radio at the time). And most of the time, they didn’t. Except this one guy that I remember in the subway…he was a bit drunk, and started yelling the lyrics to the song and dancing in front of me LOL.
And like a year later, Halloween of 2009, I found out that TONS of people, like everyone lol was dressing up as her for Halloween. And of course the entire world either loves her or hates her now. She’s come a long way since then…she’s amazing. An unstoppable force.
